Kinder Surprise – Mission Africa
For the international launch of Kinder Surprise's Infinimix toy series, we developed and produced two six-minute animated short films – an international co-production with over 80 artists across four countries. Two films, each speaking to its own audience, together telling one African adventure. Project leadership, screenplay and direction at Little Lights, animation distributed across specialist studios in Austria, Finland, Malaysia and Italy.
Ferrero was launching the Infinimix toy series internationally and needed two animated shorts that work worldwide. Six minutes per film, twelve minutes of story together, understandable across cultures and fitting for every age within the target audience. No small ambition: an adventure that keeps its charm and relevance in every market.
We coordinated an international team of over 80 artists across four countries: Austria, Finland, Malaysia and Italy. Project management, screenplay, direction and post-production handled in-house, animation distributed across specialist studios. The two films are narratively connected but deliberately target different target groups – a dramaturgy that grows stronger in combination than either film on its own.
