Our company and its subsidiaries (together “Little Lights Studio GmbH”, “Bedtime Stories”, or “We”) might collect information on the usage of the apps we produce for parents and children (the “Apps”, “Games”) and on the usage of our website for adults and parents www.getbedtimestories.com / www.littleightsstudio.com (the “Website”).

According to privacy legislation in several countries and territories this information might be considered personal data and in such case the gathering and usage is subject to certain rules. Our privacy policy aims to comply with these rules and give our users a clear understanding of what we – and certain third parties – collect and how this information is used.

Flurry (Yahoo)
We work with third party analytics provider Flurry (Restricted Version). You can read their privacy policy here: https://policies.oath.com/us/en/oath/privacy/index.html, and more specifically for the Restricted Version here: https://developer.yahoo.com/flurry/docs/analytics/lexicon/restrictedset/?guccounter=1#how-is-this-restricted-version-of-flurrys-analytics-product-different-from-the-complete-version-of-flurrys-analytics-product

For every device an App is installed on, Flurry may collect some analytical information. Please refer to the list below for the exact data collected. Flurry does not share this information with any third-party.

We collect this information to improve performance and reliability of our Apps and to get a better understanding of what users in general prefer. We do not link any of this information in any way to individuals or any other information we might obtain. We do not share, sell or in any other way give other persons or companies outside Little Lights Studio GmbH / Bedtime Stories core team access to this information, unless in order to comply with a legal obligation to do so (e.g. court order) or in case the ownership of the information changes due to a merger, acquisition or restructuring involving Little Lights Studio GmbH.

If you’d like to opt out of these analytics, you can do so here: https://developer.yahoo.com/flurry/end-user-opt-out/ Doing this will opt you out of data collection for all of our apps on the device you complete the process with. Flurry collects the following information through our Apps:

Unique Device Identifier (a unique number that lets us tell the devices apart)
IP Address (the internet address the App uses to connect to the Internet; this information is used to know in which country & timezone the device is and then deleted from Flurry’s systems);
Device type (e.g. iPad 2, Galaxy S3, etc.);
OS version (type of operating system and the version thereof);
App version (specific App(s) and the versions thereof); and
Length of sessions

Facebook
We integrated the Facebook SDK so we can advertise the Apps on the Facebook platform, this is necessary so that Facebook users can click a direct link to the App Store beneath the Facebook ad.

We don’t and never will put ads in our Apps.

For more information about the third party Facebook, please refer to the paragraphs above.

Bedtime Stories Backend / Little Lights Studio GmbH
Next to the information collected with help of third-parties, most of our apps also note your IP address and use this to determine the country the device is located. The IP address is not stored on our systems, but we keep track of the country our app is functioning in. This information cannot be connected to a unique device and is never shared with third parties.

Apart from country & timezone specific information, we track the usage behavior of our Apps to have a better understanding of how to improve the app. Especially the specific interactions & reading times of our Storyworlds are important factors so we know which stories are popular. This information is also used for royalty payments to the authors of the stories.

The Bedtime Stories backend collects the following information:

  • Unique Device Identifier (a unique number that lets us tell the devices apart)
  • IP Address (the internet address the App uses to connect to the Internet; this information is used to know in which country & timezone the device is and then deleted from our systems);
  • Device type (e.g. iPad 2, Galaxy S3, etc.);
  • OS version (type of operating system and the version thereof);
  • App version (specific App(s) and the versions thereof);
  • Push notification tokens so we can send you Push Notifications (you actively have to opt-in to use this service when you install the Apps), and

The collected analytical data is stored in our system indefinitely for analytical purposes.
